Ladies and Gentlemen:
For those who missed the last FAC Burst, my apologies. Our regular keeper
of the e mail list was out of town, and our back up had a computer failure. You
can read the report of the overwhelming 25-4 (1 abstention) vote of the
Finance Committee at www.fairannexation.com under
NEWS >FAC BURSTS, dated 6-12-08. (My apologies for not spelling the name of
the NCLM’s General Counsel correctly. The correct spelling is Andy Romanet.)
So, with the wonderful results from the Finance Committee, where do we go from
here?
To the House Judiciary II.
We need to be sure to ask every member of that committee to get HB 2367 out of
their Committee. There is not much time left to get a House vote and to push
for Senate action.
Here are the members of Judiciary II, their addresses, phone numbers, and their
e-mails. I will annotate those whom we know are supporters of annexation
reform. No comment means we do not yet know their position on the bill.
I just spent the past four hours writing individual e-mails to every member of
the House Finance Committee concerning their vote last week, and the House
Judiciary II Committee, urging action on HB 2367. Can you help with a phone
call or two?

We are making progress, one step at a time. We still have a long way to go.
